- Quality and accreditation
Quality and accreditation.
Everything an assessor, a parent or a student needs to check the college, in one place and readable without a login.
Accreditation
The record, in full.
Certificates and reports, each with the date it was issued.
- Published here
- The accreditation certificate, the self study report, the peer team report and the data templates submitted.
- History
- Every earlier cycle, so a reader can see the direction and not only the latest result.
- Format
- Plain pages with the documents attached as text-readable files. Nothing is scanned images alone.
A live college lists its grade, score and validity period here, copied from the accrediting body's own certificate. This concept lists none, because the college is invented.
IQAC
The Internal Quality Assurance Cell.
Who sits on it, what it decided and what happened next.
- Composition
- Named members and their roles, listed with the date each term began.
- Minutes
- Every meeting, with the action points that came out of it.
- Action taken
- A report against each action point, so a decision can be traced to its result.
- Annual quality report
- Published once a year, in full, on this page.
Ranking data
What was submitted.
The data as the college submitted it, not a summary of it.
National ranking submissions are archived by year, so a reader can compare what was reported across cycles. A public feedback address is listed beside each submission for corrections and queries.
Autonomy
The authority behind it.
The orders, statutes and regulations that let the college set its own curriculum.
- Orders
- The orders granting and continuing autonomy, with their dates.
- Statutes
- The statutes under which the governing body and academic council operate.
- Academic regulations
- The regulations for admission, assessment and progression, as approved before each session.
Public self-disclosure
The full disclosure set, with no login.
Published as pages, so that search can find it and a screen reader can read it.
- Programmes and intake, with the number of seats for each.
- Fees, per programme and per year, once confirmed.
- Faculty, by department, with qualifications.
- Infrastructure and facilities, described in words.
- Financial statements, audited, for the latest completed year.
- Governance, including the bodies listed on the about page.
Each item names the date it was last reviewed. The college's disclosure requirements come from its regulators, and a live site follows the regulator's own list.
Grievance and Ombudsperson
If something goes wrong.
A route that does not depend on knowing the right person.
Raise it online
Use the grievance form or write to the committee. You do not need to name the person you are complaining about to begin.
Acknowledgement
You receive a reference number, and the date the committee will first meet on it.
Committee review
The committee hears the matter and records its decision and reasons in writing.
Ombudsperson
If the matter is not resolved, or the complaint concerns the administration itself, it goes to the Ombudsperson, who is independent of it.
Contact: grievance@thornmere.example. This address is fictional, like the college.
Anti-ragging
Zero tolerance, and a way to say so.
The committee, the policy and how to report, on one page.
The college prohibits ragging in every form. The anti-ragging committee, its members and the full policy are listed here, and a helpline is printed in the prospectus and on every identity card.
Report an incident to antiragging@thornmere.example (a fictional address), to any member of the committee, or through the grievance route above. Reports can be made without giving your name.
Right to information
Asking for a record.
Who to write to, and what to expect back.
- Write to
- The Information Officer, at information@thornmere.example (a fictional address) or by post to the college office.
- Say
- What record you want and, if you can, the period it covers. You do not need to give a reason.
- Reply
- Within the period the applicable regulations set. The reply states the date your request was received.
- Already public
- Most records are already on this page and need no request at all.
Accessibility statement
What this site does and does not do.
Written plainly, and kept current.
The website
Every page can be used with a keyboard alone. Text meets a contrast ratio of at least 4.5 to 1, and large text at least 3 to 1. Headings follow a single order, every image carries a text alternative or is marked decorative, and motion stops for readers who have asked their device to reduce it.
The campus
A live college lists, building by building, which entrances, lifts and rooms are step-free, and who to contact in advance for support. It says where access is not yet available and when that will change.
If you find a barrier
Write to accessibility@thornmere.example (a fictional address) and say what you were trying to do. A barrier on this site is treated as a fault in the site.
